Brock Collection
I freelanced for Brock Collection during the SS18 and PF18 seasons, a particularly exciting time as the brand was gaining attention and acclaim in the fashion industry having just won the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award. Below are my hand-drawn flat sketches for the SS18 styles that were used for conveying designs to pattern makers, linesheets, cutter’s musts.
After SS18, I continued working with Brock Collection as their "boots on the ground" in NYC while the brand was based in LA. My responsibilities included sourcing fabrics and trims, communicating design details to pattern makers in the garment district, and facilitating the creation of VIP custom dresses when the team wasn't on-site. It was an exciting experience to witness and learn the inner workings of a rising fashion brand and be part of its growth.
In addition to sketching the collection, I played an active role in sourcing materials, adjusting patterns, and styling the looks in preparation for the runway show. It was rewarding to contribute to the development process, see the collection come together, and witness the final result on the runway.
